The College runs two types of training programmes. A basic Nursing education course of three (3) years and a Basic Midwifery Education Course for three (3) years. Upon successful completion of programme students are award OND Nursing Education and OND Midwifery Education and also registered with the NMCN for RN and RM. The curriculum for the nursing program is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Courses offered include Anatomy and Physiology, Foundation of Nursing, Nursing Informatics, Medical Surgical Nursing, Primary Health Care, Pharmacology, Nursing Ethics and Jurisprudence, Reproductive Health, Nutrition and Dietetic, Community Health Nursing, Mental Health-Psychiatric Nursing, Emergency and Disaster Nursing, Quality Improvement in Healthcare and Patient Safety, Home Healthcare Nursing, Principles of Management and Teaching, Health Economics, Entrepreneurship in Nursing, Use of English, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Microbiology, Social and Behavioural Science, Use of Anioma Igbo Language in the Management of Client, Politics and Governance in Nursing, Research and Statistic in Nursing and Hospital-Based Nursing Practicum and Community Based Practice

To qualify for the basic nursing/midwifery course, each prospective student must possess five (5) credits in English, Mathematics and three (3) other credits sciences, chemistry, physics, biology at not more than two sittings, certificate of NABTEB İs also acceptable but at one sitting only and cannot be combined with any other certificate.

Application process is simple and friendly.  Applicant are expected to pass the CBT entrance examination conducted by the College to gain admission into the College

Yes, students are exposed to all kinds of procedures on training at the Skill laboratories and later sent to hospital for actual experience in Psychiatric, Orthopaedic, Community health, ENT etc.

After each semester course work students are posted to accredited hospitals/Community Health Centres with the College for Clinical placement and Skill acquisition in Nursing and Midwifery practice.
